Eligibility Criteria for Wall Insulation Grants

Wall insulation grants are part of the government’s ECO strategy to reduce fuel poverty. You could be entitled to a 100% free grant if you receive one of the following benefits:

Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)

Income Support

Income-related Employment & Support Allowance (ESA)

Working Tax Credit (with an income of £15,860 or less)

Child Tax Credit (with an income of £15,860 or less)

Pension Credit (Guarantee Credit)

Universal Credit (and your household income is less than £1,423 a month after tax)

Additional Conditions May Apply:

If you receive Income Support, income-based JSA, or income-related ESA, one of the following must also apply:

You have a child under 16.

You have a child under 20 in full-time education (not university).

You have a Work-Related Activity or Support Component (for ESA).

If you are in receipt of Working Tax Credit, one of the following must also apply:

You are 60 years of age or over.

You have a child under 20 in full-time education (not university).

You have a child under 16.

You have a Disabled Worker Element.

You have a Severe Disability Element.
