The UK Government offers initiatives for Cavity Wall Insulation (CWI), External Wall Insulation (EWI), and Internal Wall Insulation (IWI) to improve home energy efficiency. Funding for these measures is available through schemes like:
Local Authority Delivery (LAD)
Energy Company Obligation (ECO), specifically the Home Heating Cost Reduction Obligation (HHCRO) within it.
The key benefits of these insulation grants include:
Making your home more energy-efficient.
Reducing your carbon emissions.
Helping to tackle fuel poverty.
Saving you money on energy bills.
Increasing comfort by keeping your home warm.
Both homeowners and tenants may be entitled to 100% funding for wall insulation, making their homes warmer and more efficient.
The primary scheme is the Home Heating Cost Reduction Obligation (HHCRO) Grant Scheme, which is part of the government’s larger Energy Company Obligation (ECO). This scheme aims to make homes more energy-efficient.
If your home is poorly insulated, you can apply for a wall insulation grant as well as other energy-efficient installations, including:
Cavity, Internal, or External Wall Insulation
Loft Insulation
Room-in-Roof Insulation
Underfloor Insulation
First Time Central Heating (FTCH)
New LPG, Oil, Gas Boiler (or replacement for broken ones)
New or Broken Electric Storage Heater Replacement

It is designed to help low-income families and vulnerable households.
It provides grants for new boilers, loft insulation, and wall insulation.
